Good places to stay in Asuncion

Guys, good afternoon. Do most of you live in Asunción? Brazilian here going to check out the area in February. Would really appreciate some recommendations for areas to stay, places to visit (and where to feel the real vibe of the city).

For me a good place to stay in Asuncion is Las Mercedes area - not so busy like other areas (Mariscal or Paseo) but still close to everything.
